Release Notes & Versioning Policy

Our semantic versioning standards, release cadence, backward compatibility, and official changelog.

Influenzic follows industry-standard Semantic Versioning (SemVer) to provide predictability, stability, and seamless upgrades for marketplace operators and developers.

Version Numbering Schema

Release Type Format Description & Frequency
Major Release v2.0.0 Significant architectural changes or major platform redesigns. Full migration notices and advance developer deprecation windows provided.
Minor Release v1.1.0 New platform features, commercial extension integrations, and major UI enhancements. Backward-compatible with existing child themes and REST consumers.
Patch / Maintenance v1.0.2 Targeted bug fixes, security hardening, filter refinements, and CSS layout polish. Released on an ongoing cadence.

Backward Compatibility Guarantees

  • Database Schema — Custom tables maintain additive schema evolutions. Columns and indices are added non-destructively.
  • REST API Endpoints — The public REST endpoints under /wp-json/influenzic/v1/ preserve contract stability across minor releases.
  • WordPress Hooks & Filters — Extension capability filters (e.g. inzc_can_topup_wallet, inzc_can_bulk_invite) and action hooks remain stable across versions.
